Senior designers must be highly experienced in residential project management; commercial experience is a plus. This candidate must be extremely organized, self-sufficient and possess the ability to lead a project from start to finish while managing an assisting designer. A strong background in furnishings selections, furnishings resources and fabrics is imperative, with the ability to select and create visual design presentations. Must also be extremely proficient in FF&E selections, including but not limited to: tile, flooring, paint, lighting, trim, doors & windows, cabinetry, appliances, plumbing, hardware, etc. The ability to create detailed construction documents through AutoCAD is required.
Junior designers must be willing to learn. These designers support and participate with a design team in all aspects of the interior design process. This candidate must take initiative and be self-motivated. Tasks can range from partying in the sample room to creating tile layouts in AutoCAD and creating specification sheets for days. Must have a positive attitude and keeps calm under pressure, working to find solutions with design and construction teams. Knows appropriate times to ask for help. Has a great eye for design and the ability to make on-the-spot calls that stay consistent with the design intent for the project; keeping in mind style, color, scale, and cohesion.
