A traditional home with a soft airy palette calls for classic design elements. The main objective was to create an inviting and comfortable home, where the palette foundation was in neutral hues. Blue was sprinkled throughout to add contrast and interest. Texture was very important in the main spaces to make it feel layered. Elegant furnishings were selected, but they are still kid-friendly with performance fabrics. Mixed materials were also essential to creating contrast throughout and completing the existing house and remodel work the client had done. Custom millwork in the office paired with a grasscloth wallcovering in matching hues created a grounded and peaceful environment for working at home.
